Ariel Darling, Riley Reign, and Skylar Snow had been friends since childhood. They grew up in the same small town, attending the same schools and playing on the same sports teams. Despite their different personalities and interests, they formed a tight bond that would last for years to come.
Ariel was the quiet and introspective one, always lost in her thoughts and books. She was a talented artist and writer, but kept her talents to herself, too shy to share them with the world. One day, Skylar received a call from Ariel. She sounded distraught and emotional, and Skylar immediately knew that something was wrong. Ariel explained that she had been diagnosed with a serious illness, one that would require surgery and months of recovery time. She was scared and alone in the city, and didn’t know who else to turn to.
